"My fashion philosophy is, if you're not covered in dog hair, your life is empty"
The person behind Chaspades Australian Shepherds is me, Elin Landén. I live together with my boyfriend Pontus, who is also involved in the kennel, and our children Vera and Noah in a village called Östberg in Sweden. In addition to our aussies, we also have three cats that belong to the family and about thirty chickens on our farm. My mother Anna-Karin lives in the same village, she is also involved in the kennel and often follows to dog shows and competitions.
I spend a lot of my free time with my dogs and both me and them love exercise in different forms. In the summer I walk, run and go cycling with them and in the winter we often go skiing and train mushing (pulling). In addition to everyday obedience and tricks, we practice agility, rally obedience, obedience and tracking.
Pontus and I own a large house with a large fenced yard that the dogs have free access to when we are home. When we are not home we have five spacious kennels at our disposal. In one of the kennels the dogs have the opportunity to go inside our storage house where we have a heated dog room and in the other four kennels they have the opportunity to go inside an isolated dog house.
We have large forests near our home that we use for tracking, among other things, and we also have fields next to our yard where the dogs can run loose. When we are home the dogs are either inside with us or loose outside in the yard and during the night they sleep inside the house. Our aussies are part of the family, not kennel dogs.
